Jose L. Acosta, P.E., F.ASCE, Named ASCE Region 5 Engineer of The Year

Congratulations to our Vice President Jose L. Acosta, P.E., F.ASCE, who was honored with the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Region 5 Engineer of the Year Award at the annual awards and installation banquet. Associate Engineer Carlos Tijerino was installed as Treasurer, Associate Engineer Miguel Lockward, EI, was appointed Younger Member Group Chair and Senior Engineer Patrick Kaimrajh, P.E., became Past President. Engineering Intern Nick Karpathy was presented with the Branch Scholarship. CMA was a gold sponsor of the annual meeting, held at the Rusty Pelican in Key Biscayne, where new ASCE Miami-Dade Officers are inducted as well as certain ASCE members within the County are recognized for excellence in engineering through a variety of awards. Dr. Ben Chen, P.E., BCEE, Susan Chen, Ricardo Jimenez, EI, Teresa Lewis, EI, Miguel Lockward, EI, Greg Mendez, P.E, Carlos Morales, Pamela Munoz and Sathvika Ramaji, EI, also attended the event.
