CMA attended the FES and ACEC Florida Annual Conference from July 20-23, 2022 in Orlando. The agenda included educational presentations on topics ranging from technical innovations and project case studies to professional development and leadership.
David Cowan , Jr., P.E., LEED AP, ENV SP was installed as director of Treasure Coast Branch of FES.
Shahin Hekmat, P.E. received the ACEC President’s award, which is awarded by the Board of Directors to an individual employed by an ACEC member firm who has made a significant contribution to the association and has been a valuable asset to the consulting engineering profession over the past year. He was also installed as the national director for ACEC—FL and became an FES Fellow.
William Wilson, P.E., Shahin Hekmat, P.E. and Peter Moore, P.E., F.ASCE, FACEC were recognized with Past-President pins from ACEC. Peter Moore also attended the inaugural FEPAC Defender Dinner, with other major ACEC-FL donors and State Senators Mayfield and Bradley at the FES/ACEC Annual Meeting.
Mike Albert, P.E., Laura Vogel, PhD, P.E., ENV SP and David Cowan , Jr., P.E., LEED AP, ENV SP graduated from FELI, the Florida Engineering Leadership Institute, which enhances the leadership skills of its participants and sets out a clear pathway to put these skills into practice serving our profession and our communities.
FES’ Miami Chapter was named the top chapter. Jose L. Acosta, P.E. and Brent Whitfield, P.E., ENV SP also attended the annual conference. Congratulations to all!
