National Engineers Week
In honor of National Engineers Week, February 18-24, CMA recognizes our President, Peter Moore, P.E., F.ASCE, ENV SP, LEED AP. As the President of the firm for the past 10 years, Peter has helped to grow our firm from three staff when he joined in 1999 to over 60 staff today.
Peter has served in numerous leadership positions in engineering organizations, including President of the Broward Chapter of the Florida Engineering Society and he now serves as President of ACEC of Florida and the Region 5 Director for the American Society of Civil Engineers. He volunteers with numerous collegiate engineering programs, including UF, FAU and NSU, and works with youth programs at the Fort Lauderdale Museum of Discovery and Science.

CMA Staff Volunteered at MATHCOUNTS Competition
FES Broward Chapter MATHCOUNTS Competition was held Saturday, February 10 at Miramar High School in Fort Lauderdale. CMA Second Annual Healthy Day
The CMA Social Activities Committee held our Second Annual Healthy Day on January 25 in all offices! The WPB office climbed the stairs in the morning, took an after lunch outdoor walk and practiced late afternoon yoga. The FTL office started their day with a healthy breakfast and sun salutations followed by chair exercises late morning. After lunch the crew enjoyed a walk outside and took the stairs. The day ended with energizing stretches and exercises. Healthy food was enjoyed throughout the day.
CMA Staff Attends HDPE Pipe Advanced Total Solutions Roadshow
CMA staff attended the HDPE Pipe Advanced Total Solutions Roadshow on January 23rd. CMA President Peter Moore assisted Construction Manager Richard Crow with Murphy Pipeline present about pipe bursting and swagelining. CMA Participates in Future Cities Competition at FIU
On January 20 CMA staff members Patrick Kaimrajh, Teresa Lewis and Miguel Lockward served as judges and Jose L. Acosta served as one of three coordinators for the Future Cities Competition at FIU College of Engineering. Forty-two schools signed up and eight moved on to compete in the South Florida Region competition. St. Hugh Catholic School in Coconut Grove won and will compete in Washington DC in a few weeks. Adopt A Family – Decorated a home for a homeless family and provided holiday gifts to a family in need
United Way – 26th Annual Day of Caring in Broward County
Breaking Bread, Breaking Barriers – Prepared lunch for the homeless at The Senator Lewis Center
Hurricane Donations – Collected for the victims of Hurricanes Maria & Irma
ASCE Miami-Dade Adopt-A-Road – Performed litter removal along a mile of County road
Big Bro & Sis Program – Hosted students in the WPB office and taught them about the profession
Habitat for Humanity – Prepared all the landscaping at a new Habitat House
Adopt a Park Program – Park clean-up and landscaping in downtown West Palm Beach
Sea Angels – Beach clean-up in Boynton Beach

CMA Annual Holiday Dinner
This year, our annual company holiday party was held at The Peacock Garden Caf� in Coconut Grove. The event was a great opportunity for our employees and board members to socialize and commemorate a successful 2016. The evening included a welcome speech from our President Peter Moore, P.E., F.ASCE, LEED� AP, a year-in-review slide show, reliving both firm and employee milestones throughout 2016 and comical holiday JibJab videos highlighting our owners. Congratulations to Teresa Chapman who received the Employee of The Year Award!
