CMA Senior Engineer and Project Manager Greg Mendez, P.E., presented at The Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) Industry Day on July 19. The event, held at the Rusty Pelican in Key Biscayne, provided a forum for forecasting federal/department of defense and long-term business opportunities. Presenters included the USACOE, Veteranﾒs Affairs, GSA, USCG, US Southern Command and a Vet presentation with successfully transitioned vets and industry leaders. SAME is the only non-profit professional engineering education organization that actively promotes the advancement of both individual technical knowledge and the collective engineering capabilities of governments, the uniformed services and private industry. The event explored the $500 million investment opportunity in the emerging Pompano Beach Innovation District and the plan for an innovative and resilient drainage district.
