On April 6, our dedicated CMA staff had the honor of attending the 10th Anniversary Mayor’s Ball in support of the Homeless Coalition of Palm Beach County. Together, we celebrated a decade of progress towards ending homelessness and raised funds for crucial housing initiatives.
On April 5, the CMA staff proudly participated in the Giving Gators a Shot clay shoot fundraiser event hosted by the Gator Club of Sarasota. For the third year in a row, CMA was honored to be the title sponsor of this incredible event supporting students in need. This year, thanks to everyone’s generosity, the club raised a record $12,000 for their scholarship fund!
On April 4, 2024, CMA Engineer Ernesto Garcia, P.E., ENV SP and his wife Gabriela had a fantastic time at the Pelican Party hosted by Pelican Harbor Seabird Station. The upcoming Pelican Harbor Wildlife Rehabilitation Center project was unveiled with CMA serving as the Civil and Landscape subconsultant. Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and keynote speaker Jeff Corwin were in attendance. We were proud sponsors of this incredible event!
The CMA Community Service Committee made an impactful difference at Hope South Florida’s Shared Meal event on March 30! Our staff volunteered their time to prepare and serve meals, as well as fold and distribute clothes donations to those in need at the Vision of Hope Family Worship Center in Fort Lauderdale. HOPE South Florida’s incredible work has provided over 32,000 meals to homeless individuals – we are proud to support such a worthy cause. Together, we can make a difference!
CMA attended the ASCE Student Symposium in Orlando last week. Hosted by the ASCE Florida Section, civil engineering students from 18 universities in Florida, Georgia, and Puerto Rico enjoyed activities such as the annual concrete canoe competition and job fair! CMA was an Obsidian Sponsor.

CMA staff members Sara Hollenbeck and Craig Wallander just wrapped up a four-day Stormwise training workshop hosted by Streamline Technologies! From March 12th to 15th, they delved into the world of 1D and 2D stormwater modeling at the South Florida Water Management District. Keep up the great work, team!
On Saturday, March 9th our CMA Community Service Committee had a blast volunteering at Broward County’s Water Matters Day! We spent the day promoting water conservation and learning about the importance of preserving our precious water resources. Plus, who doesn’t love a tree giveaway and food trucks?
