CMA Staff Attended Groundbreaking for Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta Branch in Doral

On Monday 4/24, CMA attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Improvements project for the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta branch in Doral, FL. CMA provided civil engineering and landscape architecture services for a new building on the east side of the property, fire line services, an enlarged concrete maintenance yard/area, new vehicular movements areas, new landscaping, and irrigation and adjustments to associated infrastructure to accommodate the new building.

On Friday, April 14th, CMA staff members Madeline Batey, E.I. and Rob Best, P.E. attended the ASCE East Central Branch’s Younger Member Forum (YMF) Central Florida Field Trip, which was a tour of the Brightline’s Vehicle Maintenance Facility (VMF) in Orlando. As the current East Central YMF President, Maddie helped plan the event.

CMA Sr Engineer Attends Criminal Justice Day for Leadership Broward

CMA Senior Engineer Yulet Miguel, P.E. attended the ‘Criminal Justice Day’ for Leadership Broward on April 20th. She attended the Broward County Jail, which was a very unique and impactful tour learning about the logistics and visiting the high-profile convicts. Then the group had lunch in the courthouse library and a panel discussion from The Honorable Judge Elijah Williams, Harold Pryor, State Attorney, 17th Judicial Circuit, Gordon Weekes, Public Defender, 17th Judicial Circuit. They ended the day with a virtual reality simulation at the Broward Police Academy.

CMA served as the Swamp Event Sponsor for Annual Sporting Clays Shooting Tournament

On April 7, CMA attended the second annual Sporting Clays Shooting Tournament, benefiting the Sarasota County Gator Club Scholarship fund. Eighty-eight shooters participated in the event, held at the Knight’s Trail Park in Sarasota. The Sarasota County Gator Club will give out $10,000 in scholarships to local students attending the University of Florida, $3,000 more than last year! CMA served as the Swamp Event Sponsor for the second time.

CMA Staff Participated in Coastal Cleanup

CMA’s Community Service Committee hosted a Kayak Intracoastal Cleanup on Saturday, April 8 at Waterway Adventures in Hollywood. Six bags of trash were collected by our team! Participants for the 90-minute event were: Safiya Brea P.E., LEED AP, Daniel Davila P.E., Jessica Diaz, P.E., Charmaine Emmanuels, P.E., Marcelo Grandi E.I., Ruben Soto, Craig Wallander, E.I., and Stephanie Williams.
