On Saturday, June 1st, CMA staff hosted a Youth STEM event for children from the City of Lauderhill, the City of Lauderhill Boys and Girls Club, Lauderhill Windermere Community Center, and Parkway Middle School on behalf of Nailed It Studio, a DIY wood workshop in Lauderhill. The event, held at Nailed It Studio, a DIY wood workshop in Lauderhill, was a platform to promote the Youth Excel STEM programs open to kids aged 8-15. The initiative taught participants basic engineering concepts and intended to foster a passion for engineering in the younger generations.

CMA staff participated in the International Society of Arboriculture Florida Chapter Trees Florida 2024 Conference and Trade Show, held from June 3-5 at the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort and Spa in Fort Lauderdale. The event featured presentations by commercial and utility arboriculture professionals, government urban foresters, planners, landscape architects, landscape inspectors, nursery growers, landscape contractors, consultants, climbers, volunteer beautification and tree board members and exhibitors.

CMA’s Principal Engineer, JW Hunter, P.E., F.FES, wowed the crowd at the ACEC FDOT Project Management Conference! With other CMA staff in attendance, our team showcased their expertise and dedication to excellence in engineering.

CMA staff attended the SMPS South Florida Marketing and Business Development Awards Event on May 22 at Adrienne’s Pizzabar in West Palm Beach. Congratulations to all the winners!

On May 17, CMA staff teed off for a great cause at the FES Miami Chapter’s Annual Student Development and Scholarship Golf Tournament! We were proud to be a PhD sponsor and support local schools, colleges, and universities. A fantastic day at Miami Shores Country Club for an even better cause.

CMA crushed it at the 31st Annual Island City Canoe Race, securing 2nd place in the 6-mile relay around Wilton Manors! Our team showed incredible strength and teamwork, matching their best finish ever. Way to go, CMA!

CMA is proud to announce that our President, Peter Moore, has been sworn in as Vice-Chair to the ACEC Board of Directors at the Annual Convention & Legislative Summit! Our team also had productive meetings with members of Congress from Florida this week, discussing important topics like infrastructure reform and upcoming tax changes. We’re committed to advocating for the needs of our industry in Washington DC.

We are proud to share that CMA staff had an amazing time at the Dobbs Equipment Golf Classic at The Rookery in Naples on May 17! Not only did we sponsor breakfast, but the event raised over $200,000 for Construction Angels, providing support to families affected by construction-related tragedies.
