Chen and Associates Consulting Engineers Inc. opened its first office in Plantation, FL.
1993
Won our first Broward County, FL contract as a subconsultant for the Neighborhood Improvement Program.
1996
Celebrated our 10th Anniversary.
Opened our first office in Tampa, FL.
Opened our first office in Miami-Dade, FL.
1997 -2006
The Expansion

Moved our headquarters from Plantation to Fort Lauderdale, FL.
1998
Won our first Broward County, FL contact as a prime consultant for the Central County (Broward) Neighborhood Improvement Program.
1999
Peter Moore, P.E., F.ASCE, ACEC joined the firm.
2002
Won our first municipal project in Miami-Dade and Palm Beach Counties, FL.
2003
Opened our first office in Palm Beach County, FL.
2004
Started our Annual Family Picnic Tradition.
2005
Celebrated our 20th Anniversary.

Won our first “Best Places to Work South Florida” award with South Florida Business Journal.

Our headquarters in Fort Lauderdale moved to its current location: 500 W Cypress Creek, Suite 630, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309.
2008
Peter Moore, P.E., F.ASCE, ACEC was named President of the firm on January 1, 2008.
2011
Celebrated our 25th Anniversary.
Cristobal Betancourt, PLA, AICP joined the firm, adding Landscape Architecture to CMA’s services.
Won our first International Public Sector work as a prime consultant for water and sewer work in Panama.
Opened our first project offices in Gainesville and Stuart, FL.
2013
The firm’s name was officially changed to Chen Moore and Associates, Inc.
2014
Opened our first office in Orlando, FL.
2015
Established our Board of Directors.
2016
Celebrated our 30th Anniversary.

City of Fort Lauderdale, FL decreed March 10th as “Chen Moore and Associates Appreciation Day”.
Brent Whitfield, P.E., ENV SP joined the firm, adding Hydrology & Hydraulic (H&H) Modeling to our Water Resources services.
2020
Chen Moore and Associates rebranded as CMA and changed its logo.
2021
Celebrated our 35th Anniversary.
Won “Business of the Year” and “Best Places to Work in South Florida” awards with South Florida Business Journal.
2022
Brian Voelker, M.S., SPWS, C.A., CLI joined the firm, advancing our Environmental services.
CMA received a National Recognition Award for the City of Fort Lauderdale Emergency Bypass 48” Forcemain project, at the ACEC Annual Convention and Legislative Summit at the Grand Hyatt Washington in Washington DC.
